Allowance for practising in a designated area
Allowance for employing an assistant
GPs only qualify for the following allowances if they receive the BPA:
• designated area allowance
• seniority allowance
• assistant allowance.
The full amount of these allowances is only paid to a GP receiving the full BPA. The actual amount paid to a GP who is not eligible for a full BPA is calculated as follows:
