To claim a fee for this work a GP must be included on the health authority's minor surgery list. It is paid for minor surgery sessions provided for his or her own patients or those of partners or group members.
No more than three payments can be made to a GP in the same quarter, except that if the GP is in a partnership or group practice, more payments may be claimed provided that the total number paid in any quarter does not exceed three times the number of partners or members of the group on the medical list on the first day of that quarter.
